In short: tripDiary stores your data locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud (encrypted). There are no user accounts, no ads, and no third-party tracking. Anonymous usage statistics can be turned off at any time. Your travel journals belong to you.

All content you create in tripDiary is stored locally on your device:
Your data is never transmitted to us or any third party.
tripDiary can access your location to assign a position to diary entries. This only happens at your explicit request. The app does not access your location in the background.
GPS coordinates are also read from the EXIF data of your photos — entirely locally on your device.
tripDiary requires access to your photo library and camera to add images to diary entries. Media files are stored locally. No upload to external servers takes place.
If you enable iCloud synchronization, your data is synced between your own devices via Apple's CloudKit. This transfer is encrypted and managed by Apple. We have no access to your synced data.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.
tripDiary optionally collects anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. Only aggregated counters are recorded (e.g., number of app launches, feature usage, device type). No personal content is ever transmitted. The data cannot be linked to any individual.
You can disable this at any time in the app settings under "Analytics".
tripDiary uses local notifications for travel anniversary reminders. No data is sent to external servers.
tripDiary does not share any data with third parties. No advertising, no tracking SDKs, no external analytics.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual entries, entire trips, or all data by uninstalling the app. iCloud data can be removed via iOS Settings.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times. You can view, edit, and delete your data directly in the app.
